Postcards from New York
May 14, 2013,02:47 AM
I was on vacation in New York with my wife for a week in late April . We were there last in early April 2011 ( our first visit to New York ) and fell in love with this great city. I notice the city was a lot less busy with tourists compared to our last visit and we found the queues much shorter everywhere.
Perhaps the temporary closure of 2 of the biggest attractions , the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island due to Hurricane damage late last year contributed to this.
We paced ourselves much more leisurely on this visit , with more time spent at Central Park, visiting the Guggenheim Museum, shopping , eating, visiting watch Boutiques that lines Madison Avenue, people watching and indulging in some photography to record some images of this great city.
We were lucky with perfect sunny spring weather during our week in New York.
I hope you enjoy the postcards and thank you for looking.
Cheers,dreamer
