Oh yes, and it's extremely comfortable on my scrawny 154mm/6" wrist! ..

I had the black-dial 116660 for about 12 years (2008-2020). I hardly ever wore it. It was comfortable, but I'd gravitate towards pieces like the 16660 Sea-Dweller. Then, in 2020, I sold the 116660 black dial and finally got a 126660 JC.

Delivery was a funny story. My friend, who manages a Rolex boutique, had the 126660 for me, but he wasn't at the boutique for several days because his wife was giving birth. So I went for a run one night and met him in the parking garage of the hospital where his wife had just given birth. He opened the trunk of his car and delivered the 126660 to me that way -- no champagne, no celebration -- just a handoff in a dark parking garage at about 9pm.

My only regret is that I didn't get the JC a year or two earlier! smile

Hello! Been a while.... I wanted to share something I really had not given great thought to. So, over the last 3 years, I have been blessed to acquire 3 Rolexes. A Cameron, a Red 43, and a DJ 41. I love them all. But I rarely wear my Cameron. SO today I s...

I enjoy reading these kinds of posts. Where we rediscover a wonderful watch! Just a joy to read Mostel! No worries that you're not a pic guy! I unfortunately don't wear a Cameron, nor own one, because the thing is WAY TOO BIG for my wrists. Maybe if I hav...

Thanks Patrick! I also thought it was FAR too big!! But the composition/balance is what makes it so remarkable. But my real 'share' here is how EXOTICALLY different it is from any other Rolex. And it took not wearing it for a good while to really comprehe...

Great post!

I agree with everything you say. The Deepsea is a wonderful piece of engineering that is unlike any other Rolex and the James Cameron dial really makes it interesting and fun. I look forward to wearing it each time it turn comes around in my rotation (and...

For much of the past year, I've had a similar response. I have much nicer (vintage) pieces that I enjoy looking at, but the JC is just a really fun piece to wear. I love the slightly domed crystal, the proportions -- it's both overengineered and just righ...

Hello dear Mostel! Thank you so much for this great post written with much passion. I also own a Cameron which I´m currently wearing... and a Red 43 SD which I have never worn and has all stickers and plastics still on..

... Now I would like to know your feelings about the SD 43 in comparison with the Cameron. Doesn´t seem them too close in their measurements, thickness, etc??. .. This doubt motivated me not to wear mine... still! As it happened to you, I bought them abou...
