 By: pingtsai : October 31st, 2011-22:59
I’ll never forget the first time that I saw a Bulgari Serpenti watch on the wrist of a woman in public. It was nearly a year and a half ago at South Coast Plaza in Orange County where international fashionistas meet stylish housewives from all over southe...

Ping, your reviews set the standard.  And I fully agree with this thought provoking statement: There comes a time in everyone's life however when we compromise on what we would normally do for an alternative purpose, whether it be personal or externally m...

I would definitely recommend the Serpenti as a gift for any special woman in your life. I know I would be happy to get one A special edition Serpenti is an excellent idea. I feel there is a lot you can do to the piece to spice it up. Thanks for your comme...

The words elegant, distinctive, stylish and timeless come to mind. The Serpenti is a standout collection in the Bulgari line-up, and at a time when it’s hard to find a great ladies watch, this one impresses. Whether you could pull it off as an everyday wa...

....for your comments. You pose a lot of interesting points. You are right that it may not be ideal for an everyday watch. I guess what I meant was that the stainless version can be worn in casual situations and the pink gold double coil is more for speci...

Great writing and review of this very intriguing and sexy Bulgari watch

I like to call it "the snake" watch The Bulgari Serpenti is definitely a watch to get for your special lady. I bet most women would love one, especially if they dress up frequently! Cheers, Anthony PS. I'm hoping Bulgari can design a black PVD version for...

We need to see photos ... Or it didn't really happen!

But the dragon idea is an interesting one. I can't think of many men's designs that have done a lot with the bracelet or strap. A

Sorry for the late reply Andrew. Here are my wrist shot pics of the Bulgari Serpenti

so you can see how it wears on a guy's wrist. It feels very comfortable IMO! Doesn't feel like a woman's watch, so I truly do wonder if a men's design will ever make its way into production. Cheers, Anthony...

I won't say it looks great on you ...

... but I do think that Bulgari could use the tubogas technique to update the stretchy bracelets popular in the 1970's for males and tap into another nostalgia market for grown up kids (like us!). These bracelets are comfortable and are worth revisiting. ...

Great review Ping! I know of a local PuristS who is planning to pick one up as a xmas gift for his significant other. I'll definitely have him check out your review. -MW

This is a review of a serpent who is not only a beautiful piece of jewelry, but a functional one as well. Instead of bearing an apple, it is an apple to the wearer's eye and those who are fortunate enough to see the wearer wearing this serpent. Thank you ...

Interesting review, Ping!

Thanks for detailed writeup with illustrations. Strangely, it looks better on your right hand. Can't figure the reason too. When I read the term "hook and wrap”, an image flashed... Serpenti should go well with DVF. However, this Serpenti looks more...

Great read, Ping!

Weirdly, the watch wears better on your right hand vs. left (I think Kong maybe also made this comment). I much prefer the single coil variant of the Serpenti, because in the double spiral the watch is TOO much IMO. I also like that this piece doubles as ...

Ping - I enjoyed the review. I tend to agree with Kong that the double wrap has more presence. I think that there is a place in PuristsPro for full reviews of watches intended primarily as gifts to non-WIS. The target market for such reviews would not be ...

Nice review Ping. One thing I discovered when I was considering getting the Serpenti was that it is available in two sizes, one for really small wrists and one for regular sized. Regards, ED-209

That's interesting Ed. I didn't know this.

 By: pingtsai : November 12th, 2011-13:27
I'm not sure if I had the regular or extra small size. Did you end up getting it and if not, how come?

Did not get it but your review brings up a really good point

In the end we did not get the Serpenti because of a similar point you brought up in your review. We tried on the Serpenti on the typical left wrist and just like you experienced it wasn't exactly perfect. Now that you mentioned how much better it is on th...
