BVLGARI 2014 Ladies' Collections

The Ladies are not forgotten as BVLGARI celebrating their 130th Anniversary this year.  In addition to some new iconic Serpenti pieces, BVLGARI also developed a new Lady model, LVCEA, with 12 variations in two diameters - 28mm and 33mm.
For ladies who prefer jewellery pieces, there are several pieces from the captivating DIVA models.

Firstly, let's have a look at the new model specially developed for the Ladies, including the new movement too.  Within this post will feature 4 models.


Steel case of diameter 33mm, accompanied by steel bracelet with alternating satin-brushed finishes and folding clasp. The bracelet design takes design inspiration from their iconic Serpenti.
Dial is very clean, silver-toned with sunburst guilloché motif, with rhodium-plated hour-indexes and Roman numerals.  All hands were rhodium-plated too.

Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating to reduce glare.


The crown is a nice piece of work, and could be a signature to identify a BVLGARI LVCEA from far besides the scale-bracelet.  It is a cabochon-cut pink stone set with a diamond.

Another smart feature is the relief on the bezel allowing the manicured thumb-nail to slide in to bring the cabochon-crown out for both date and time adjustment.


Another variation with alternating silver and gold scale-links bracelet.

From here, the cabochon-crown looks like a royal crown sitting on the watch-band!




Another elegant model - Steel case with white mother-of-pearl dial and brilliant-cut diamond hour-markers.



Careful placements of the diamond-hour-markers and the logo onto the delicate mother of pearl dial.


For a more contrasty variation - Steel case with 18K pink gold (approx. 8.11 g) bezel, 18K pink gold crown and cabochon-cut pink stone set with a diamond and scale-bracelet with alternating 18K pink gold (approx. 8.9 g) and steel links, triple-blade folding clasp.

There are various combinations for different budget, thus it is advisable to ask the Boutique for more information and best to try them on, as there are two different diameters too.

A new decorated movement for LVCEA - the automatic Calibre B77 with a 42-hour power reserve.

Case's  water-resistance is rated to 30m.

Bulgari DIVA HJ Watch - this collection of watches showcased the capabilities of BVLGARI - expertise in jewellery and gemstones and superior watchmaking.

Overall case diameter is about 39mm made of 18K pink gold and set with brilliant-cut diamonds (~1.14ct) , 8 rubellites, 16 mother of pearl 'petals' and round-cut  diamonds (~1.10ct).

Dial is of mother of pearl too.


Satin strap  with foldable buckle in 18ct pink gold (~13.65g) and round clasp set with brilliant-cut diamonds.


Quartz movement customized for BVLGARI due to complexity of the case.

It will be incomplete without the mention of the iconic Serpenti pieces for 2014 ....


2 loops Serpenti with a 5N pink gold case and black dial and partial diamonds set on the bezel.
The bracelet is a combination of 5N pink gold links and black ceramic links with some parts diamond-set.  Total of 132 pieces of diamond-stones set.


Within is a quartz movement.




This 2-loop Serpenti is of white gold case and black dial.  Bracelet is white gold with some parts set with Onyx and diamond-stones.
Total 231 pieces of diamond-stones were used.  Total carat is 6.364 ct.

One more interesting red piece of Bulgari-Bulgari Catene, 31 mm diameter with 5N pink gold bracelets.
Though the dial and stones on the bracelet looked similar colour, they are of different gemstones.  The dial is of Carnelian, while the 14 red stones on the bracelets are Corals.
Bezel is pave set with over 50 diamonds.  Total carats is 1.31ct.
Movement like the rest above is of quartz.
