There is really no better time to launch the BVLGARI Endurer Chronosprint ALL BLACKS Special Edition this year with the ALL BLACKS winning the 2011 Rugby World Cup.  For the fans of ALL BLACKS, this edition of Endurer Chronosprint may have a special meaning, as it signifies the team endurance, perseverance and performance to break out of their 24 years dry spell against nemesis France.

As some may know, the collaboration to make this edition is not only because both share similar values - Excellence and Performance, but both has significant milestones in the year of 1905.  For Bulgari, it opened its first shop at Rome's Via Condotti.  It was also the year the New Zealand team, first toured Britain and name the team as "All Blacks"  playing in uniform of black shirts, shorts and socks with the silver fern logo.

Haka (the Māori challenge or war chant) was carried out since then before each match.  Extremely powerful, just hearing the haka, several times, charges me up.

Strangely, after listening to the haka, the impression of the Endurer Chronosprint ALL BLACKS also different, the watch exudes a sense of  fierceness, power and confidence.

Robust 56mm steel case with water resistance to 100m.
Matt brush-finished  treated with black DLC for improved scratch resistance, and of course to match the ALL BLACKS colour theme.

Good contrast play with only the six bezel screws, date-window-frame, applied indexes and hands in gloss finish.


Large date display with 'secret signature - ROTH' for digit '0'.


Cambered crystal and bezel ...


The mild polished chamfered sides of the caseband alternate with the crystal edge to create outline for the watch...


The hour indexes and the hour & minute hands are SuperLuminova coated for low lighting reading.


Dial featuring the Maori tattoo, the Koru.


The Chronosprint, a combined timer for duration of 60 minutes and 12 hours.

Useful for timing events not critical to the seconds, or it could be used as 2nd timezone too.


The PVD pusher (at location 7:30) for the starting and reseting of the Chronosprint.

Extreme precision is required to fabricate both the crystal and bezel for proper fit.


PVD crown.  Would be nice if the ALL BLACK fern logo was engraved on instead.











Black rubber strap with steel inserts treated with black DLC.




Caseback is made from corrosion resistant STAYBRITE Stainless steel with semi-transparent black tinted sapphire.

The ALL BLACKS 1905 logo is printed on.  Though the movement Calibre DR1306 is not much visible, rest assured BVLGARI has properly
finished the movement.

The automatic DR1306 beats at 28,800VPH and has a power reserve of 45 hours.

Several wrist-shots.  The Endurer Chronosprint ALL BLACKS is a versatile watch, suitable for both formal business and
casual setting.








Though the specification of the watch is long at 56mm (lug to lug), do try it  on.  It sits well on my small wrist
