... doing it though it demands some time to do and regret to say I´m lacking this precious time lately.
I´m a fan of this film and know about the many drawbacks suffered during its filming. It´s almost a miracle it was finished! Lol!
I guess the use of this Seiko reference was just a good decision of the props department choosing this watch most probably after some research made to find which was a popular timepiece during the Vietnam period. (I don´t know about the decision of Brando wearing a Rolex GMT sans bezel!).
I feel that the discovery of the reference 6105 and its elevation to some kind of "cult watch" among Seiko lovers came much later than the release of the film in 1979, I would say no more than ten years ago it begun reaching this status.
The watch is very interesting and with a strong character and obviously the relation with this iconic film makes it more desirable. I enjoy so much wearing it.
