...for the first time, 3 years ago. I wasn't a fan of this watch, even if I liked at that time the 70's design. At the Patek 2012 novelties presentation in Paris, I met a fellow forumer who possessed the 5711 and I wanted to try it, just by curiosity. It ...

I always liked the Royal Oak Jumbo better than the Nautilus. But the more I see the Patek, the more I like it.. The Link doesn't work! Yours, Adam
They are quite different

The RO is more on the sporty side of the street whereas the 5711 is more on the dressy one. Clearly a watch to try at least once :) Cheers, Mark
I bought 3710 in 2005 and

3712 a bit later. My 5711 I bought in the end of January this year. This watch is making me humble; it is so thin, so comfortable, so elegant and the dial makes me speechless... There is no other watch I would nowadays wear more as an everyday watch as my...
I feel the same when wearing mine

and I noticed than when we come in the Nautilus world we are quite enclined to be attracted by other references as well! Cheers Kari, Mark
Nautilus is together

with Aquanaut a fantastic entry to the world of Patek Philippe. Then later add a simple Calatrava or Golden Ellipse as a simple dress watch. Finally, seal the collection with a Complicated piece or Grand Complication to seal a fantastic Patek collection. ...
No you didn't...

...the brand deserves it, even if here and there we may find a reference we are not fond of. But you're right, we can find a great piece for every kind of day, every kind of event. Patek's charm will still work. Cheers Kari, Mark
I must recognize the 240 is a great asset of this reference

and it is the main reason why I moved toward this one back then. But the more I see the 5711 and the more I like it and find something very attractive... That's why I would really like to see a thinner 2 hands only Nautilus in the future :) Cheers, Mark
I thought a little about that
By: Mark in Paris : May 11th, 2015-07:18
but the price point seems to be quite high compared to "how much" I like it. Indeed, how unique must be the feeling of having this watch on the wrist everyday... hmmm quite something which is worth giving some more thoughts And you ?! You had a 5712, woul...
The Gondolo design is quite nice indeed

So the 3417 means you're not fan of leaf-hands-only when it comes to Patek ? :) It's a beautiful watch for sure... Cheers, Mark
I like both the 5711 and 5712

Both are very thin and elegant. Just back from New York and the first watch I wore on sun was my 5712 Cheers Robin ...

I set the moonphase each time I wear the watch . I like to let my watches rest when they are not worn. Not a fan of watch winders Cheers Robin
So do I!

but we finally went for the same one in the end. Mine will be back in summer for sure on my wrist :) Wear it well Robin. Cheers, Mark
