Think Legitimacy and origine

Jun 06, 2010,17:40 PM

A Roth is a Roth and a Genta is a Genta. What makes it worth is its originality. Thre couldn't be any reason why to change the dial into a "re-dialed Bvlgari" one. The watch has to stay as it was firstly delivered with original pieces and features. What makes the value is its origin (same as cars).

To move to another dial is for me a shame and an alienation of the original characters and DNA of the watch.

Pls consider this argument.

Thks and have a nice journey

What if the owner likes the newer dial version better?

Hi djedje, Welcome to the Bulgari forum! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the dial. I understand your concerns about originality, but consider the fact that some owners actually wear there watches on a regular basis now and the 'value' (whatever that m...

Thanks for your viewpoint. I have a Gerald Genta Arena Sport XL that I enjoy very much. I agree that if possible, it's best to keep things as original (I guess you can say it's the PuristS thing to do ). But some may want a newer dial so it's great to hav...

good news, indeed!

Such a simple classic that is not so simple. You are right, the dial is busy but still seems balanced. Is this a watch you wear everyday or just special occasions? I always wondered about the versatility of DR watches since they tend to have a more formal...

Thank you, Ping!

I used to wear it daily for a while, I confirm it is versatile so that, being quite thick, it can be worn both with as a casual or a dress watch. Now, I keep it for more formal outfits....

This is indeed good news that owners have the choice. I am however curious as to the individuals out there who would choose to have this done. If you are one of these people, could you please share your thoughts on the reasons. I suppose it is an opportun...

Nice to hear that everyone can make their own mind up regarding this. I'm sure there will be instances where the newer dial appeals, but do think that over time the GG/DR dials might just win out as far as the PuristS go. This will certainly be interestin...

And thank you Tim

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Let's be honest, many more people know of Bulgari as a brand, compared with the community who enjoy the appeal of the something a little more 'off the wall' . Absolutely agree with you on this. And having a choice on whic...
