Diagono Chrono 303 Sincere Edition - Hands On

Aug 22, 2011,08:06 AM

Hi everyone - after reading numerous posts on these pages I decided to finally take the plunge and invest in the Sincere edition of the Diagono Chrono 303, and what a watch it. It's been on my wrist for nearly one month now and I'm still finding myself gazing into it's face and discovering new fine details here and there. I really do prefer this aesthetic as opposed to the original and the more recent electric blue colour scheme. Note the face is not black like the new 2011 edition of the Diagono 303 - but a unique shade of grey. It still features the same 18K white gold thicker bezel found on the original and of course the famous FP 1185 automatic column wheel chronograph movement. I love how the vertical clutch system allows the chronograph to be kept running all the time without any extra wear & tear / strain on the movement, in fact I believe running the chrono is actually the default setting and supposedly puts less strain on the movement than not running it. Anyhow, to share the excitement, here are some photos. Enjoy!! Bobby

The actual box - I say actual box because some of you will notice that the subsequent photo's of the watch in the box show the watch actually in the box for a Bulgari Serpentine watch. Yep - I was initially given the wrong watch box, but never fear that was a mistake that was quickly rectified.

Note the Sincere Haute Horology (SHH) logo which is embossed on the box for this version of the watch.

It really does look so different in different surroundings depending on lighting etc - thanks to the beautiful mirror finish of the white gold bezel.

A nice detail is the Sincere Haute Horology logo engraved on the crown.

Here's a close up shot.

I've put this shot in to give you a size comparison. Although the Panerai features a larger 44mm case - the way the lugs are structured on the Bulgari's 42mm case give it an overall very comparable size and feel on the wrist.

The FP 1185 movement - AKA the BVL Calibre 303

A classic. Congratulations on your new acquisition. I have to say I prefer the look of the 303 as opposed to the PAM. Thanks for sharing.

Congrats Striker! Cool how they did the logo on the crown. Since you had it for a month, how's the accuracy? As they say, wear it in the best of health! -MW

Stryker, Thanks for posting the photos; as you say, the watch looks different from when viewed in dimly lit Italian restaurants! As it is a 2008 edition, I hope they gave it a service check before you took delivery. Regards, MTF
