Bulgari Octo Crown Problem

Jan 27, 2014,22:53 PM

I have a problem with my Bulgari Octo, purchase in May last year. The Crown stem seems to loosen over time. About 3 months ago, the entire crown and stem just suddenly got loose and detached from the watch. When I inserted it back, it was no longer able to function. I sent it in to Bulgari to fix the problem as the watch was under warranty and it was returned to me after 3 weeks. The watch was OK for a while until 2 days ago, the exact same problem happened again. And no, I did not use force when I pull out the crown to set the date/time. In fact, I was extra careful when I do this.

My other watches do not have this problem, ie the crown is so fragile that even a slight pull will so easily disloged it. Is this a well known problem with the Octo? Any advise? Or did I got a lemon?

Thanks in advance. Here's a picture.

...I've no idea about this issue but your Octo and the watch in the background make a huge contrast.

Yikes!

I have not heard of this happening to any other Octos. Hopefully you can get it resolved for good and not have this happen again.

anyone?

Anyone with a more productive reply?

What you should do

If me was you I would seek to do an exchange for a different model. Looks like you are the 1st to realize a serious glitch in the design, which cannot be rectified even after service. Most watches have this. E.g. The ceramic bezels of submariners sometime...

Thanks

Thanks. This is such a shame. I do really like this watch. I will be sending the Octo in for the repair again tomorrow. I plan to talk to them to escalate this matter to their HQ. Hopefully they can do a permanent fix this time. It is not normal for a wat...

Sorry, but IMHO this kind of quality problem is not acceptable.

I simply would claim for a replacement. And that without any discussions and without long waiting time. Cheers, Thomas

Hello from Greece. I had the same problem with my Bulgari Solotempo. I bought it a year ago. My watch is in Switzerland. Did they fix it second time for you?
