'Tis The Season: Holiday Gift Picks From Bulgari
The time of the year has arrived once again when expectations must be met, customs must be kept, and beliefs in large men with red suits live on. It’s that special time when happiness is premeditated, searched for amidst too few parking spots and too many cyber deals, wrapped in pretty paper and given with a bow on top – all for taking part in the momentous token spirit of thinking about someone else instead of ourselves. Just like any other skill, some people are complete naturals at it and others are more challenged. For the individuals that need a bit of assistance, especially when finding something for that special female, it’s never a bad idea to take a suggestion or two.
When it comes to giving happiness to females, Bulgari has more than a sufficient lineup of items that will do the job. Ranging from watches and fine jewelry to sunglasses, accessories and fragrances, Bulgari’s array of all things luxurious is fitting for a sophisticated woman with a global sense of style. The designs are often bold and distinct reflecting elements derived from the brands’ classic Greek and Roman heritage. However there is certainly enough that is classically beautiful and exquisitely crafted that just about any woman can appreciate. I’ve selected some of my favorites from Bulgari that I would certainly enjoy finding under the tree, in a box with my name on it. I’m sure there are more than a few other women who wouldn’t mind the same.
1. B.ZERO1 4-Band Ring in 18kt Pink Gold with White Ceramic
The B.Zero1 Collection of jewelry and watches is a Bulgari signature look. The banded cylinder design element is clean and contemporary with simple lines and a distinctive shape. There isn’t much available in terms of Bulgari jewelry that is under $1000. This ring is a good value priced at $980. I like it because it has a different look than most wide band rings with the use of white ceramic for the center portion of the ring. Ceramic is an extremely popular material these days showing up in watches, jewelry and even shave sets. The pink gold edge is inscribed with the signature BVLGARI BVLGARI logo.
2. Bulgari Leather Bracelet
Bracelet double in shanghai red calf leather with light gold plated hardware and buckle closure, about $300. Leather wrap bracelets are extremely popular this year. I see them at Nordstrom’s and I saw them being sold by street vendors in New York. They look best with a little noticeable hardware attached to them like the gold buckle on this Bulgari version. I like the red because it stands out and is festive. Any red accessory added to a wintry black, grey neutral outfit adds a pop of color and interest to it.

The Isabella Rossellini Bag has been very successful for Bulgari.
Briefcase-like bags are very in-style this season. This is a great bag for work or lunching with the ladies. It comes in a whole assortment of different colors but I like the camel because it’s such a versatile color and great for the winter season without being too dark.
4. Black Nappa Plisse Bag
"Twist" handcarry small bag in black nappa plissé with palladium hardware. One open pocket and branded mirror. Dimensions: 11.6x7.1x4.7 ". Price: $1450
A woman can never have too many bags and a smaller black evening bag is an essential element in every wardrobe. This one from Bulgari immediately stood out to me because of its textured ribbed surface design and unique curved handles. The small signature BVLGARI BVLGARI hardware on each side of the bag adds a nice touch with a bit of shine.
5. Bulgari Diagono Chrono Ladies Watch
DIAGONO Chrono Automatic watch with a stainless steel and rubber case set with diamonds. It features a black dial set with diamond indexes and a rubber bracelet with stainless steel ardillon buckle. Price: $16,200

What list on PuristSPro would be complete without a watch. This watch is technical and sporty but still feminine. I see a lot of stylish women who end up being conservative with their wristwatch choice. It doesn’t have to be that way and this watch is proof of that.

If I had to choose a watch from the Bulgari collection it would be an automatic like the Diagono Chrono. However, I would still want something from the Serpenti line and that would leave me to choose a non-watch Serpenti piece. This 2 ½ coil gold, diamond and mother of pearl bracelet would be the ultimate to wear to any special event.
