Yesterday, BVLGARI launched their muti-retrograde
chronograph, Bulgari Octo Maserati, a model jointly done by both
renowned Italian brands - BVLGARI and Maserati at Cortina Watch

the Cortina Boutique for both watch and supercars guests to view and

The design is of the same as the 2010's OCTO CHRONOGRAPHE QUADRI-RETRO as shown below.
Sporting
a 45mm brushed steel case, the dial was redesigned in blue colour.
Sort of close to the Maserati's Blu Mediterraneo colour.
At first glance, many would think it is just a normal dial, but the dial is done with classic Champlevé technique ...
OCTO Chronographe QUADRI-RETRO
The
blue-lacquered areas were initially precisely milled out to form
recesses. After that blue lacquered was applied and fired. Surfaces
were
smoothen by polishing.
As usual, the upper halve,
feature the jumping hour-window and the minute-retrograde. On the
3H-subdial, is the 30-minute retrograde totaliser.
To the left at 9H, is the hour totaliser for the chronograph.
At
6H, is the date-retrograde. A difference from the initial OCTO
Chronographe QUADRI-RETRO, is the arithmetic sequence on the
date-display.
The
leather strap is sort of a resemblance of the GranTurismo's front
sports-profile seats. Colour should be close to shades the Blu
Profondita or Trofeo.
Would be more accurate if the padding part is V-shaped instead of straight.
Gloss-polished chrono-pushers. The spoke-crown is also different from actual Octo model ...
Case-work is with alternative brushed and gloss polishing.
Caseback featured a semi-opaque caseback with the Maserati Trident
logo. Housing within is the automatic Caliber GG7800 with integrated
column-wheel beating at 21600VPH and has power reserve of 38 hours.
Interestingly at a certain incident light angle, the perlage decoration of the movement revealed.
Clearly see the rotor still with the "Gerald Genta" engraved on ...
An older picture of the OCTO Chronographe QUADRI-RETRO with GG 7800 for reference ...
Signed deployant buckle ...
Hope you enjoyed the pictures.
